whee?

I'm working at the law library today until 5, at which time I get to walk back to my library and work on the reference desk until 6. Here is my mantra for the day:

I am not the law librarian; the law librarian will be back tomorrow. I am not an attorney, I cannot give legal advice.

It was really quite packed when I got here (that means there were about 10 people here). I'm hoping it gets less busy as the day goes on. Mostly I'm happy I remembered the keys so I can lock up for lunch and at the end of the day.

When Nora was making the schedule for this week and deciding who would be coming over here today, she was hesitant to send me because she was afraid "if we pile too much shit on you, you're going to be looking for a new job in 3 months!" That made me laugh. But no one else wanted to come over, so I get to. It's kind of cool over here, though. There's a mini-fridge in the office, the little half door to the office latches, and there's a limited group of people who come in here (and most of them know what they're doing). I don't get the weirdos who come into the main library wanting me to teach them how to use a computer. Or wanting to know why their password won't work when they try to print something (I don't know!).
