I haven't watched the debate yet. I worked until 9:15 last night and then went over to Barnes and Noble to get a book I wanted (Philippa Gregory's new one The Other Queen). I also finally gave in and bought Frankenstein Makes A Sandwich because it's the greatest picture book ever. Seriously, if your library has it, check it out. It's amazing. I was telling Logan about it this morning and he said he might have to check it out from our library. Anyway, I didn't get home until about 10:45. But I'd already set the DVR to record the debate because Jason worked last night, so both of us were going to miss it. But I'll post my thoughts when I watch it this evening. I'm excited to watch it because of what I've read about it so far today. There's a post on the Huffington Post about watching it with the sound off for a few minutes. That intrigued me. I'm also intrigued by a post on there that said someone (I forget who exactly) had counted the number of times McCain blinked his eyes 3000 times last night. 3000! In 90 minutes! I also liked this post, especially this part:

But onto a different topic. I'm very excited that I've already figured out what to get some people for Christmas. I like to know this stuff early, just in case something goes wrong with my idea, then I have enough time to think of something else. Nate's gift is pure genius just for the incredible tacky factor.
