I've talked to the gentleman who comes in almost every day and won't stop talking. He always says everything more than once. He's very nice and friendly, but he won't shut up. I talked to him on the phone for probably 10 minutes.
Next up we had the gentleman who was drunk and had no teeth. He initially wanted to know when "the first president" was president. Then he thought that the Confederacy was around in the 1700s. Then he wanted to know who their president was. Then who was the 8th president? Who was his vice-president? How do you spell that middle name? I'd spell it this way. Then he started to walk towards the elevator, turned and came back. He proceeded to talk to us for about 15 minutes. Drunk people with no teeth are really hard to understand. And he spit on me. Not on purpose, just in the course of his speaking.
Then I got to chat with this woman who's been coming in a lot lately. She always stands about 6 feet from the desk and doesn't say anything until you say something to her. Then she asks "can I walk up there?" I'm not really sure why she needs to ask permission to approach the desk. But oh well.
I'm just happy this is my last weekend of work until September.

Maybe she's been to court a lot and is waiting for the "judge" to ask her to approach the "bench." Just a guess!
Getting spit on by a drunk with no teeth... then having a woman ask to approach the desk.... Yeah, sounds like court to me! Can I start addressing you as "Your Honor"?
