I didn't know it was possible tonight, but I cried with happiness at 11 pm (EST). I've cried with happiness before, but never for anything political. This is one of the best nights I've ever had, and I'm so happy I got to be involved (by voting) in such a historic moment.
In other happy election news:
Kay Hagan won Elizabeth Dole's Senate seat
Michael Munger got a whole 3% of the vote for governor of North Carolina! (That's more than I thought he'd get. And I voted for him!)
Iowa went blue again
As of 11:39 pm, Obama is winning North Carolina and Al Franken is winning in Minnesota
Bad news: as of 11:44, Californians are voting yes on Proposition 8. I hope that turns around. Only 8% of the precincts are reporting on that.
