shtuff

Last night Jason and I went on a date.  It was lovely.  We went out for dinner and saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.  I thought it was a fabulous movie.  I'm mildly astonished, however, that a movie that's almost 3 hours long came from a 44 page short story.

On this coming Friday our neighbors, Nick and Jenny, are taking us out for dinner, unless Nick has to work.  It's their way of thanking us for feeding their hamsters and mouse while they were gone for Christmas.  I don't know about Jason, but I enjoyed it.  I liked putting the hamsters in their balls and bringing them to our apartment to run around--and scare the cats.  It also made me want a hamster.  I just know that eventually Jason and I will have a small zoo.

I've restarted Weight Watchers.  In the last week I lost 2.8 pounds.  Yay me!  I needed to restart as I had gained back all 18 pounds I had lost before moving.  I will lose those 18 pounds again.  And more.  I need to get healthier.

BBC America is showing 5 weeks of James Bond.  Tonight is From Russia With Love.  I can't say I remember any of this, so I don't think I've even seen this one.  It's entirely possible that I could watch BBC America all day and be perfectly happy.

I'm so happy the 3rd season of Rock of Love has started.  I don't know why I love this show so much.  Is it the wonderfully trashy women throwing themselves at a washed-up rock star?  Could be.  At the, um, back stage pass ceremony, I had 5 girls I liked: Ashley, Megan, Marci, Stephanie, and Beverly.  Marci and Stephanie went bye-bye, but I still have 3 girls in the running.  Best part of the show?  The crazy Brazilian girl choking the other girl for dumping beer on her.  But why did the girl dump beer on the Brazilian?  Because the Brazilian was throwing potato chips at her.  Seriously.  I wish I was brilliant enough to make that up.  And I'm almost sad that the weird chick (who looked like Daisy and Angelique from season 2 had a baby together) went away.  I would have enjoyed watching her for more than one week.

And there's a new season of The Bachelor.  I am no longer only picking on girl at the first show.  Because I liked a bunch of them.  Ah.  I'm rooting for Melissa, the former Cowboys cheerleader, a little more than the others, but I will still have others to root for if she goes away.  There are a couple of women who I initially don't like, but they may grow on me.
