So last month at the NCLA conference, I won a raffle. Of course, I read my email informing me of this after I had already returned to Fayetteville. It said I needed to stop by the booth by 5 pm to pick up my prize. On Thursday. I read the email on Saturday. I was bummed, because I really did want those mini posters from Unshelved. But oh well. Fast forward to today. I stopped in the library to type up the stuff I'd written while we were closed for NaNoWriMo. There was a smushy envelope in my mailbox. I opened it up. Inside was this letter (edited):
Dear Erica,
Congratulations! Please find enclosed the item that you won as part of our prize raffle for the North Carolina Library Association Conference.
As we discussed on the phone, Sabine R. also won an item. I really appreciate you saying you could make sure that her book finds its way to her.
The book is hers and the mini-poster pack belongs to you! Thank you for stopping by our booth. Please don't hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or need anything else.
Important notes: I do not know this Sabine person. I never talked to anyone on the phone. Most important note of all, this is what was in the package:

Hey, I just talked to Sabine and she told me to tell you thanks for the posters. And she hopes that you like the book that she sent you.
