Kelly, who goes through donations, read me the backs of a couple of DVDs that someone donated to us. It seems like the plots were initially written in Chinese (I think, I base this on the descriptions of the movies), translated to English, back to their original language, and then back to English again. Let me know if either of these strike your fancy. All spelling and grammatical errors were preserved.

1. "Pirated Copy" tells several stories about people who either sells or buys pirated movie copy, the pirate copies open another window of this world for these people, those thin and light disc has subtle relation with lots of people, they can be teacher, working, student, or others and their life are also impacted by the pirated copies consequently.
Chill winter days in Beijing. The weather doesn't prevent people who lives on selling pirated movie CD from doing their business. Their figures are pervading in the shopping malls, over the cross bridges, around the bars or at the campus. Calling-out rises and falls, from lmost each corners of the city; and forms out as an off screen voice to the film of Chinese a ordinary life, at the joint of the 20th and 21st centurees in China.

2. A mesmerizing and seductive tale of sexual intrigue, Flovwers of Shanghal takes place in the elegant brothels of late nineteenth-century Shanghai. An insular world with its own highly ritualized codes of behavior, the film traces the destinies or the beautiful "flowers lives depended on their ability to win, and then hold, the affections of their wealthy callers, starring Hong Kong film star and recording artist Tony Leung (In the Mood for Love, Hard Boiled) as Master Wang, Flowers of Shanghai was Hou Hsiao-Hsien's film set outside of Taiwan.

Special note about number 2: the screen shoot of the DVD menu says the title is Casino Royal, and the part at the bottom where it says "blah blah presents a blah blah movie" reads "Waltdisney ppesents presents BruceWillis"Disney"s TheKid" and then appears to have the information for The Kid, including the stars. WHAT? What movie is it?? Flowers of Shanghai? The Kid? Casino Royal?
