We had Staff Development Day today. Our speaker was talking about how we need to not make assumptions about people before we talk to them. Which prompted this short conversation:
Me: I assume you're rude because you're from New York.
JT: I assume you like corn.
Me: I do! You should've said, 'I assume you live on a farm.'
