pre-screening items

A few years ago, Eden and I came up with the "so you want to date Eden or Erika" questionnaire. I thought it would be fun to re-visit that and make a new list. This one isn't so much questions as statements. So, without further ado, here's my list of pre-screening items for people wanting to date me (compiled by me, Tara, Jenn C., and Nora):

• Like Harry Potter--if you've read the books, that's best. If you've watched the movies and are willing to read the books, that's great, too.
• Open to Shakespheare, at least willing to watch his plays either as movies or on stage.
• Won't make fun of the books I choose to read.
• Likes cats--seriously. My cats are turning 7 this summer, so there's no way I would ever choose a person over them.
• Financially stable
• Likes Christmas movies--I like to watch Christmas movies all day on Christmas. Examples: Scrooged, Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Mixed Nuts, The Santa Clause, and the animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
• Open to trying ethnic food--if I could, I would eat Indian and Thai food every day.
• Must not have a tattoo of an outhouse
• Must not have any pending sexual or domestic assault charges
• Must not have lost license due to multiple duis in six months
• Must not still live with wife though you claim to be separated
• Must not LOVE goats like a man loves a fine woman
• Must be open to mingling with my friends
