For those who haven't heard (do you live under a rock?) I got a job. In North Carolina. It's this state "way, way, way ... way far away", but the temperature isn't always 67 and I'm sure sometimes there's a 100% chance of rain. (Name that movie.) The library is the Cumberland County Public Library and Information Center in Fayetteville, and I'll be working at the Headquarters branch. My new job is contingent on me passing a drug test and how soon I can get there. I FINALLY was able to pee into a cup today, after almost a week of not being called back by the people who were supposed to set it up. The results will be sent within 48 hours, which means that Friday I might have a start date. Unless the drug test picked up all that crack I did last night. I'm planning on moving next Wednesday (August 6th). I've got my UHaul reserved and since I'll have to drive way slow (45 mph), I'm going to be leaving in the morning so I can try to get to Fayetteville by Saturday. This is, of course, assuming that Jason and I get this apartment we like. Oh yes, Jason will be coming along with me--he kinda likes me and I kinda like him. I'm almost all packed up. I have a few things left and clothes, of course.

newness
So, hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to share about the move, settling in, and my first librarian job!
